Ninth HydroDWG Workshop, World Meteorological Organisation, Geneva, Switzerland

Cooperation between WMO and OGC in hydrology and informatics commenced in 2008, leading to formation of the WMO/OGC Hydrology Domain Working Group (HydroDWG) in March 2009. This workshop marks ten years of collaboration between WMO and OGC which has led to the development of the WaterML2 suite of standards for hydrological data. Appropriately, this ninth workshop of the HydroDWG will be held in Geneva at WMO headquarters. The WMO Climate and Water Department and the Commission for Hydrology have kindly agreed to host the workshop. The workshop will immediately follow the OGC TC meeting being held in Stuttgart on 10-14 September.

The overall goal of the meeting is to strengthen the connections between OGC and WMO and activities of HydroDWG and CHy including definition of DWG strategies and objectives for the next ten years. An agenda for the meeting is in development and interested parties are encouraged to provide additional topics for discussion.
