Announcement

Dates: 15 - 18 March, 2010 (Formal component on 16th and 17th)

Venue: JRC, Ispra, Italy

Purpose:

This meeting will be the first workshop of the Hydrology Domain Working Group. It is open to any member of the working group.

The kind folk at JRC in Ispra (Italy) have offered to host us in March in the week following the Frascati meeting of the OGC Technical Committee meeting. That is, the week starting March 15. The main meeting will be held on the 16th and 17th with side meetings on the 15th and 18th.

The workshop represents an excellent opportunity for the Hydro DWG to get some real work done. In particular, it presents a great opportunity to have a gathering for those interested in the development of a water data exchange format (along the lines proposed in the CSIRO/CUAHSI Harmonisation report) as well as those involved in the current Groundwater and proposed Surface Water IEs.

Changes to your registration can be made through the JRC website Registration.

Accommodation

Through the registration website you can also book a hotel room, if needed. The hotel will be automatically notified. The cost of the single room in Hotel Europa is 55¤/night, breakfast included. If you need to cancel, you can update the hotel booking until 07/03/2010.

Transportation

Unfortunately all attendees will be responsible for their own transport. JRC recommend hiring a car from the airport rather than taxis as these can be quite expensive. There is no public transport in the area.

Workshop Dinner

A social dinner has been organised at Hotel Europa on March 16th. The cost of the dinner is 30¤/person. Confirmation of your attendance can be done through the website.
