Meeting summary

Agreement: Change the r1 draft of the SC DWG charter to include a merger with the UP DWG. The mailing list will be asked for "unanimous consent". If no objects are heard, the text for this merger will be in the SC DWG charter (see below for draft).

Urban Planners DWGers and friends,

The UP DWG online-meeting (below) is tomorrow, in about 26 hours. The one and only topic is the merger of Urban Planning DWG with the SmartCities DWG (assuming it passes all votes in Orlando and immediately thereafter). The charter document 16-127_SmartCities_Domain_Working_Group_Charter.docx (posted in accordance with the TC 3-week rule) will be discussed in Orlando Wednesday 21, September 2016, 15:00-16:45 (EDT) in the 3DIM DWG meeting (dial-in information will be on the portal calendar for that day). Under the new policy, the SmartCities DWG will then have a TC-wide e-vote, once the charter has been updated to include any changes during this organization meeting.

A draft charter for the the SmartCities DWG has been uploaded to Pending Documents. Since the UP DWG is open. a copy of the charter has been attached for those without portal access.

If an agreement is reached, the charter will include a reference to the merger. The default for new DWGs is open to the general public, so access to the SmartCities DWG should also be open.
