1) IEs feedback and way forward:
At the moment the twiki is not available but ECMWf and Meteo-France have several tries to describe.
Meteo-France would like to have a very efficient way to get the correspondance between the numerical value and the physical value. They still have to try the getfeature info but worry about the time response. They have made some tries by giving a formula of calculations into the abstract field in orde rto have a dynamic gauge. It works but standardizing this would require to describe a formulas language...
A side session to work on a more formal I.E could be welcome at Bonn/TC
The Use cases will maybe to have redefined as very few servers available offer Numerical Model Output and the Use cases are based on them.
Adrian reminds to server providers that if the problem is to provide real time data, the I.Es can be made with canned data.
Chris informs that progress have to be made on Climate numerical model with WMS
2) Styles :
Chris wishes to begin the works on the styles proposed at the 3rd GIS/OGC conference.
Several styles are available but there is no way to know the default style.
The idea to define a pool of basic styles for simple basic parameters into the Met Ocean WMS Profile in order to be sure that all server serve a common style for the same field is discussed.
Maybe it will be necessary to define several basic styles for the same parameter to adapt them to the region (the step between isolignes can be different depending on the latitude).
(
ACTION : push this work into the SLD works and document into the
MET OCEAN PROFILE)
Chris will make a presentation of 10/15 mn on Styles in Bonn.
3) Others:
Chris comes back from a world conference in India with sessions on crises management and climate change. This conference happens once each two years. He will make a short feedback by email.
