UC1 has is at the stage of making the choice of SOS implementation. It has been decided that for the first milestone, the standard 52 North SOS and client will be used. This will allow a demonstration to be hopefully done in Toulouse. This would allow the sharing of cross-border data between France and Germany as planned.

The UC has had its first telecon to adjust the project plan. Present that the meeting were NOAA/NWS
BoM and CSIRO. Jon and Nate updated the group on a discussion between USGS and NWS on the data which USGS will be making available to support the use case. It is planned to data from the Mississippi and the Great Lakes Basin to be made available. Jon also mentioned that UCAR will make their rainfall data available although is is likely that this wont be fully exercised until the larger forecasting IE. Jon also mentioned that UC2 are planning to present their updated project plan for Toulouse sept milestone.
