Minutes
- ACTION items for the OGC Best Practices document.
- CREAF (BP1): Schema mapping and testing Relations using Natusfera observations, DRAFT
- SECD (BP2): Modelling a Camera Trap, DRAFT
- Fraunhofer (BP3): Leveraging the STA API batch-processing, DRAFT
- INRIA (BP4): Modelling Pl@ntNet as a service, DRAFT (to be updated with the latest STAplus data model)
- CREAF (BP5): Importing Natusfera into STAplus, WIP (to use OGC protocols directly from the web browser by Javascript and Ajax)
- CREAF (BP6): Visualizing STAplus data in a map, WIP (to create a map from STA with a long query and explain the query itself)
- 52N (BP7): Modelling community processes (blogging), WIP
- ALL: STAplus implementations (e.g. INRIA - performance and indexing)
- DISCUSSION:
- Scope is now described in Figure 1 to differentiate 'STAplus' (the generic extension to STA Data Model) and 'STA4CS' (STAplus with a generic Business Logic applied to Citizen Science)
- New sections/ appendices of API configurations, performance and conformance tests should be added.
- Conclusion: Need to emphasize the main concept that readers (service providers) can make most of the generic STAplus in an operable way but it is application-specific. Note that this Business Logic is based on specific use cases in the CS context. In conclusion, there is no one solution that fits all.
- Access Conditions >>> Security Considerations: UNIX RUD on assets (restricting CREATE/PUT) using HATEOAS Driven REST APIs? CRUD on properties?
- Declaration: how to declare fine-grained access conditions/rights on a property level? An operator and a client developer may not be the same person.
- Considerations: CREAF will add a section of when to use Groups versus MultiDatastreams.
- Future work: XOData/STAplus experiments with the query builder that is integrated into Excel. The result is also directly imported into Excel.
- AOB
- STA+ data model will remain as it is in the UML diagram. Use cases fit to the STA+ will be presented as BPs.
- Proposed submission by the end of May towards the 123rd OGC Member Meeting in mid-June 2022
