  • Contact HWG organizers for GW IE time slot at Dec OGC TC Sydney (Brodaric, Booth)---done
  • Generate technical document for GW IE profile for WFS, SOS, and WaterML2 (Boisvert, Kuo, Kunicki , Taylor- draft due next meeting)---begun
  • Review GML 3.2 document, provide feedback and implement (all services providers)---in progress
  • Review GW IE GetCapabilities document provide feedback and implement (all service providers)---in progress
  • Review SOS query issues document and provide feedback (all services providers)---in progress
    • e.g. All monitoring stations with level > 10m
    • part of larger discussion in WaterML2 and SW IE discussion

New Action Items

  • GSC: send the mediated URLS to all
  • GSC: setup Twiki page for issues list, and add examples (issue, solution, recommended action) see GwIeSosGaps
  • GSC: list query implementation as optional requirement in profile (and mark those that are mandatory)
  • GSC: prototype query implementation
  • GSC: generate GW IE WaterML2 schema and post to GW IE Twiki (Done, attached to GroundwaterInteroperabilityExperiment)

  • USGS: notify client providers (Kisters and 34N) to use the mediated services from GSC rather than from 3.2 to 3.1
  • USGS: to implement new SOS GetCap
  • USGS: draft WaterML 2 specs for GW IE profile

  • ALL: formulate a list of issues, solutions, recommended action for report


  • Participants: Eric Boisvert, Boyan Brodaric, I-Lin Kuo, Tom Kunicki, Phil Stefanoff, Nate Booth

  • Services:
    • Accommodate GML3.1 to GML3.2
      • Default response in SOS profile is to be GML3.2
      • All moving to GML3.2 in order to test WaterML2
    • Accommodate new SOS getCap nested structure. Its in the GW IE profile (R3);
      • GSC has implemented
      • USGS will implement
    • Look into SOS Query options
      • Query implementation an optional requirement in profile
      • GSC will try and implement
      • USGS will try if time permits
  • Final Report:
      • will compile a list of issues, solutions, recommended actions
      • Eric will put up a template on the TWIKI for WaterML2
      • still need WaterML2 profile for the IE, to consist of basic description plus GW IE specifics such details about TimeSeries model and encoding
      • GSC to generate GW IE WaterML2 schema and post to GW IE Twiki
